Dermestes talpinus:

Distribution: North America.
Origin: California, USA. In my care since 2026.

Description: The adults are 5 to 8 mm long. This species looks like a mixture of D. undulatus and D. murinus dorsally. The pronotum is a mottled mixture of reddish brown and bluish grey, and the ratio of these two colours can vary. The elytra are mottled bluish grey with specks of reddish brown. The underside of the adult beetles are mainly white with a black spot at the end of the abdomen. The full-grown larvae are 8,5 to 11,5 mm long and almost entirely black in colour.

We are worldwide the first to offer this species!
